PRAYERS TO ST JOSEPH OF CUPERTINO FOR SUCCESS IN EXAMINATIONS

As many of our young parishioners begin exams this week, we pray for them for the next few weeks. We pray that the Holy Spirit of wisdom and peace may guide them through the days of intensity and especially at moments of stress.

The patron saint of students at exam time is St Joseph of Cupertino – an Italian 17th century Franciscan. The following prayer to him is often said by students and we offer it here:

‘O Great St. Joseph of Cupertino who while on earth did obtain from God the grace to be asked at your examination only the questions you knew, obtain for me a like favour in the examinations for which I am now preparing. In return I promise to make you known and cause you to be invoked.

Through Christ our Lord’.

St. Joseph of Cupertino, Pray for us. Amen.

‘Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love. Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created. ... O God, Who didst instruct the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant us in the same Spirit to be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in His consolation. Amen.’
