In recent months, the government, through the agency of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment, have led a review of Relationships and Sexual Education undertaken in State schools. This will means changes to what students are taught in school as being normal and appropriate. But what if parents are unhappy with what is being taught to their children in school? What if it clashes with the values that they are teaching their children at home? Where do the values that underpin the new curriculum come from?
