'CALLED TO MORE' - A NEW WEBSITE AND PLATFORM TO SHARE THE GOOD NEWS

In recent weeks, a new website has been launched that is at the service of mission and evangelisation.

www.calledtomore.org reminds us that the Church has over 2,000 years of wisdom and that 'some of the greatest minds in the last two millennia were Catholic: St Thomas More, G.K. Chesterton, Hilaire Belloc, Louis Pasteur, St Edith Stein, Fr Georges Lemaître, to name only a few. From the early Church Fathers to Catholics leading in their fields today, the universal Church shares a wealth of knowledge about the world around us and the world to come. It’s worth tapping into.

The website reminds us that 'God made you and loves you. But even more than that — He wants to have a relationship with you. Like any relationship, it has to be nurtured. With God, this can be done through prayer, the sacraments, and serving others. When we grow in relationship with God, we start to see Him act through our lives, feel His presence in our prayers, and we experience a closeness to Him known as Divine Intimacy. God is inviting us to this closeness, but it’s up to us to answer'.

The website is designed to create awareness of our outward mission. The website homepage states that: 'The joy of a relationship with God is not something to keep to ourselves. There are so many people around us who don’t know their Father and who would greatly benefit from a relationship with Him. While we’re not called to Bible-bash, shame, or preach at people, we are called to be witnesses and to use words when necessary. Jesus tells us, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations'.

It reminds us of one of the most important truths of all - that we have an eternal destiny. 'God has called each one of us to live with Him forever. Because He gave us free will, we get to choose whether we follow this call, or not. While everything in this world has a shelf life, each of us has a soul that will go on forever. This life can be seen as a trial period, a time for us to choose who we live for. Over the years, God has given us signs pointing the way to Him. It’s up to us whether we follow them. If we do, we’re promised an eternal reward — to live with God forever in Heaven'.

We are called to more. At Called to More, we believe God has individually and uniquely called you to know Him, to love Him, to share Him with others, and to live with Him in happiness forever. We are reminding you of this call — your call — to something more.

Well done to Katie Ascough and Edward Barrett for their work on this wonderful initiative.
