READINGS AND REFLECTION FOR THURSDAY 2ND APRIL 2020

In the Gospel today, Jesus is again in conversation with the Jews about the crucially important topic of knowing God. Do we know God? How can we know him? As Holy Week is upon us, we ponder the truth that knowing God is knowing Jesus crucified and risen. Jesus knows the Father and has come to reveal Him. To see Him is to see the Father. Here is the God who 'did not count his equality with God a thing to be grasped but emptied himself to assume the condition of a slave and to accepting death, even death on a cross. But God raised him high' (Phil. 2:6-7).

Many thanks to Fr Martin Pender for the uploaded readings and reflection.
