On this Easter Thursday, the risen Lord came to meet his disciples in the room where they were locked in fear and disappointment after the event of his death. Into that space of darkness, fear and shame, Jesus offers his peace - not retribution or scolding or dismissal from his friendship but peace.
But he also shows them his wounds. By this he reminded them of the terrible price his love paid to right everything that is wrong in the human condition and all that is dysfunctional in the world. This is why all of us must heed the words of Peter in the first reading - 'REPENT'.
