MASS READINGS FOR THURSDAY 7TH MAY 2020

Friends, in the first reading today, St Paul addresses a crowd of people in a synagogue. He wants to lead them to faith in Christ. What does he do? He tells them the story of their ancestors and the faith tradition they are part of. He draws them into an awareness that Jesus' death and resurrection is the fulfilment of their story. He teaches them not only to understand their story but that they participate in that story. Do we know our faith story? Do we see ourselves as taking part in writing it, today?
