In today's first reading, Paul and Barnabas are instruments of a miracle where a cripple was cured. In response, the crowds had a desire to worship them and saw them as gods. Paul and Barnabas reacted immediately against this and said 'we are only human beings like you. We have come with good news to make you turn from empty idols to the true and living God'.
