DISTRACTION AND USELESS THINGS

During the recent lockdown, a slower pace of life was forced on us. Given the fact that we could no longer go here or there or do this or that, most of us wondered 'Well now what do we do?'. We live in a world where there are many distractions and diversions. So much so that many of us have stopped asking ourselves the really important and deeper questions of life. It is often said that the opposite to religious people is not irreligious people or non-religious people but distracted people - we are all religious whether we acknowledge it or not but some are just too busy or too distracted to take seriously the deeper questions of life.
