The Irish Bishops, through the Council for Life, have recently made a submission to the Oireachtas Commitee in respect of the review of the Termination of Pregnancy Act 2018. You can read this submission below by clicking on the link. The Church continues to lament the tragedy of abortion and argues for the right to life of the unborn. The question is complex but the outcome is always the same. Any attempts to normalise abortion as part of our culture and to deny the moral problems that are still with us, are futile. Abortion remains a scar on our collective conscience.
