Closer to home, recent statistics reveal how 2021 saw the highest number of abortions recorded for women resident in England and Wales. They reveal that in 2021, 214,256 abortions happened last year - the highest number since the Abortion Act was introduced in 1967. Previously, 2020 had seen the highest record with 209,917 abortions taking place. With the additional 4, 339 taking place in 2021, the evidence is there that the abortion rate is spiralling.
With just 625,000 births in England in Wales in 2021, it means that 1 in every 4 babies are now aborted.
But do numbers matter anymore? If the figures rose to, for example, 3 out of every 4 pregnancies ending in abortion would we be alarmed or shocked?? Not as things stand. Please see the article by
