Mary Beary is a member of Wexford parish who lost her eldest son Martin to drug addiction. She has recently published a book of memories and poetry in his memory. It is entitled: 'Healing: The Long Road Back' - A Collection of Poetry from a grieving Mother who talks about her son's struggles with his mental health and drug addiction'. The book contains hope that Mary shares with other parents who have suffered the loss of children and especially to families who suffer from addiction problems of family members. In the interview below, Mary is not slow to recognise the source of that hope which is her faith in God and his mercy that gave her light at times of great darkness.
