THIS WEEKS INTERVIEW WITH BISHOP GER ON WORLD YOUTH DAY 2023

On 3rd August, Bishop Ger and 24 young people from the diocese of Ferns departed as pilgrims for World Youth Day which takes place in Lisbon Portugal. There they will gather with Pope Francis and hundreds of thousands of young people from around the world to celebrate the faith that unites us and to grow in same faith in Jesus Christ. One of the unique features of the World Youth Day experience is to encounter young people from all over the world - people from different continents, languages and backgrounds. In this interview, Bishop Ger reflects on his hopes for World Youth Day as a moment of encounter with the youth that is an opportunity for the whole Church to grow closer in the family of God.
