This week's interview is with Mgr. James Hammel, Diocesan Archivist and retired Parish priest of Annacurra, Co. Wicklow. For a number of years, Mgr. Jim served in the Diplomatic service of the Holy See at a time of great expansion and globalization of the Church following the Second Vatican Council. Much of this took place under the leadership of Pope Paul VI who was canonised a saint on 14th October by Pope Francis. In this interview, Mgr. Jim looks back on that time and speaks about his memories of 'Papa Montini'. Opposite is a photo of Mgr. Jim meeting Pope Paul VI in Rome.
