On Saturday morning next, 30th November, Ferns CAFÉ will host the second ‘FAITH ON FIRE’ conference at the Riverside Park Hotel, Enniscorthy. The conference begins at 9.30am and ends at 12.30pm.
The conference will be opened and addressed by Bishop Denis before the two main speakers. The first is Dr Fainche Ryan who is the Director of the Loyola Institute at Trinity College Dublin. Fainche is involved in teaching the faith to adults and preparing them for ministry in their communities.
The second speaker is Fr Martin Pender who is currently based at Ballymitty. Co. Wexford. Martin is a native of Wexford town but has spent many years working as a missionary in Stockholm in Sweden and also in South Africa. His talk entitled ‘Me, a Missionary?’ promises to challenge us to the call to mission today.
