The following short film records how the magnificent new statue of St Oliver Plunkett in Armagh Cathedral honours all those persecuted for their faith. These are our brothers and sisters we stand by this coming week which has been assigned the 'WEEK OF WITNESS' to mark the courage of Christians around the world who suffer for the practise of their faith.
St Aidan's Cathedral in Enniscorthy will be illuminated in red for the evenings of the 'Week of Witness' and there will be a special Mass at the Cathedral on Thursday 28th November at 10am in prayerful solidarity with the suffering Church. Following the Mass, people from 'Aid to the Church in Need' will give a talks and presentation on the topic of Christian persecution at the Riverside Park Hotel at 10.45am.
