READINGS AND REFLECTION FOR MASS ON EASTER SATURDAY 18TH APRIL 2020

In the first reading today, we are told that the crowd were amazed at the assurance and conviction shown by Peter and John as they witnessed to the resurrection. It was all the more impressive given that it was a hostile crowd and the threat of imprisonment and even death loomed over Peter and John.

We can only hope and pray that by the power of the Holy Spirit, we too will have that assurance and confidence to share our faith in new and creative ways. Not too how Peter and John preached not an abstraction but someone 'whom we have seen and heard'. We pray that we too may share our faith from a place of personal conviction and share the love of the God who has touched our lives deeply and personally.
