MASS READINGS FOR TUESDAY 21ST APRIL 2020

In the first reading this morning, again taken from the Acts of the Apostles, we are told that 'the whole group of believers was united, heart and soul; no one claimed for his own use anything that he had as everything they owned was held in common'.

Here is a mirror held up to our parish communities today. Are we united in heart and in soul? Do we have that sense of a shared existence where the common good is of paramount importance?

Then in the Gospel, Jesus speaks about being born from above - that his origin and identity is from God. This is the divine identity he shares with us by allowing us to become beloved sons and daughters of God the Father with him.
