HOLY HOUR OF PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS TO THE PRIESTHOOD AND RELIGIOUS LIFE
A Holy Hour of prayer will take place in St Aidan’s Cathedral on Sunday afternoon, 3rd May from 3 to 4pm. This hour of prayer will not be open to the public but will be broadcast live on https://www.churchservices.tv/enniscorthycathedral. As a diocesan family, please join us to pray for vocations and encourage every community to cherish a culture of vocations.
PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL FOR VOCATIONS SUNDAY 2020
We pray for the Church, that her members may care for each other with the spirit of the Good Shepherd who laid down his life for his flock so that we might have life and have it to the full. Lord hear us.
On this Vocations Sunday, we pray for those whom God is calling to serve him in the priesthood and religious life. May they sense that call with greater clarity and have the courage to respond generously. Lord hear us.
We pray for our Diocesan Lay Vocations Council that they may work with our priests to create a culture of vocations in every parish community of our diocese. Lord hear us.
For Bishop Denis and all the priests of our diocese - that we might be renewed in faith and continue to be good shepherds of the people of God with charity and joy. Lord hear us.
For all seminarians, especially Darragh from our diocese. May the Lord bless him and all those preparing for priesthood. Lord hear us.
For our civic leaders, doctors, nurses and all who serve the common good. May the spirit of the Good Shepherd, of care and service continue to be strong at this difficult time. Lord hear us.
God our Father, we trust in your loving kindness. Bless our diocese of Ferns with many priestly and religious vocations. Give the men and women you call the light to understand your gift and the love to walk always in the footsteps of your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.
