Dear friends. Today we celebrate what we call ‘Trinity Sunday’ which is always the Sunday after Pentecost. It is an opportunity for us to immerse ourselves in the mystery of God who is three in One – the God of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is how we ought to think of God all the time and not just today. God is always Trinity, always Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In this God we are immersed, enfolded, baptized, breath and live. The Trinity is the source of all love, life, truth and goodness. The Trinity is also the source of our unity as St Paul outlines in the second reading at Mass where he urges us to: ‘Be united; live in peace and the God of love and peace will be with you…the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all’. The unity within God is the source of the unity of the Church.
