With Cailin West

Caitlin West is a Catholic speaker, podcaster, lecturer, and founder of the popular podcast Crash Course Catholicism.

In ‘Crash Course Catholicism’, Caitlin helps people discover that Catholic teaching is not distant, dry, or obscure, but is instead true, beautiful, liveable, and deeply human.

Caitlin founded Crash Course Catholicism in 2021 after years of teaching young people about the Catholic faith. Again and again, she saw that when Catholic teaching was explained clearly and faithfully, people did not find it irrelevant. Rather, they found that it just made sense.

Crash Course Catholicism grew from the conviction that the truth of the Catholic faith can be taught with clarity, joy, and confidence, without watering it down.

In this first podcast, she explores what does it mean to have faith?

Does it just mean uncritically accepting what we're told?

In this episode she discusses what it means to accept the truths of the faith - especially when we don't fully understand them.

This episode covers Part One, Section One, Chapter Three of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
