Bishop Donal Roche
It has been two years since Bishop Donal Roche went from being a parish priest to being ordained as an Auxiliary Bishop of Dublin, of the largest diocese in the country. This interview reflects on his experiences over the last two years, and discusses the highlights, the challenges and the future plans in the Archdiocese of Dublin. From how we engage a new generation with the message of the Gospel, to managing declining numbers of clergy, to encouraging lay empowerment and engaging new communities, all set amidst the backdrop of structural and demographic changes within the church. We will look ahead to the future with both hope and realism.
