'TAKE THE RISK FOR CHRIST' - LOOKING BACK ON 25 YEARS OF PRIESTLY MINISTRY

Dear friends. I recently celebrated my Silver Jubilee of ordination to the priesthood here in Wexford. To mark the occasion, Fr Jim Nolan composed the following poem called 'In Your Service'. In the interview below, I share a few thoughts with Sean O'Leary on the last 25 years.

IN YOUR SERVICE

‘The aroma of Christ

Modulated by the rhythm of his call.

Officiant in service

At the table of the Lord.

Where the lamp is kindled to overflowing

Spilling the oil of gladness

O’er his youthful years

Whilst listening to the sound of spring wells

Bursting onto the rich harvest of his labouring

Realising that there is another field beyond

Where the menorah candles glow’.
