THE ANNUAL DAY OF PRAYER FOR FOR VICTIMS OF ABUSE - 20TH FEBRUARY 2026
The Church’s Day of Prayer for Survivors and Victims of Abuse takes place on, 20th February, the first Friday of Lent. The Day of Prayer is an initiative of Pope Francis and was first marked in Irish dioceses in 2017. Blessed candles will be lit in parishes across the country as a reminder to the faithful of the need for atonement and to symbolise repentance; light in the darkness and hope.
These ‘Candles of Atonement’ will be lit in diocesan cathedrals and churches on the Day of Prayer, and thereafter during the celebration of Mass and other liturgies. The lighting of the ‘Candle of Atonement’, and the following prayer, are based on the very moving Penitential Rite composed and prayed by Pope Francis at the final Mass of the 9th World Meeting of Families on 26 August 2018 at Phoenix Park, Dublin, when the Holy Father implored the Lord’s mercy for the crimes of abuse and asked for forgiveness.
Lord, forgive us our many sins.
We grieve and repent with all our hearts for having offended you, for our great failings and neglect of the young and vulnerable.
We place all of those who have been hurt by the Church in any way into your loving hands and under the protection of Our Blessed Mother.
Lord, bring peace to their broken lives and show us all the way out of darkness and into the light of your Word.
May we as the people of God be more fully human, more fully Christ-like and more fully your people, that we may see the errors of the past and go forward with renewed hope and faith in Christ and in our Church.
Amen.

Anyone looking into Bee Removal Services can benefit from understanding why professional assessment may be preferable to handling an established colony alone.
Cigarette packaging requires more thought than simply choosing a suitable-looking box. custom cigarette boxes may be considered when businesses need packaging that matches particular product dimensions. Materials and printing should be selected carefully, and applicable requirements need to be followed. I think storage is another practical point worth considering. Boxes should be convenient to handle before they are used. Keeping the design clear and appropriate can also help maintain a consistent appearance.
Pizza packaging has to be convenient for both the kitchen and the customer. custom pizza boxes can be useful when a business has different pizza sizes or needs a particular fit. I think the box should give the pizza enough room without allowing it to slide around. It also needs to be easy for staff to close and stack during busy periods. Storage is another practical consideration, especially in smaller kitchens. A suitable box can make collection and delivery more manageable. The best packaging is usually the kind that works quietly in the background without creating extra problems.
Outdoor areas can get dirty pretty quickly, especially when they are exposed to rain, dust, mud, and changing weather. Driveways, patios, walkways, siding, and other surfaces can develop stubborn grime that a regular hose may not remove properly. If you’re dealing with this kind of buildup, searching for pressure washing services near me can be a practical option. Pressure washing can make a noticeable difference in areas that have started looking dull or neglected. The important part is using the right amount of pressure for the surface, since concrete, siding, and other materials can require different approaches. It can be especially helpful before hosting guests, getting a property ready for sale, or doing seasonal outdoor maintenance. Once the heavier dirt is…
