THE DRAMA OF HOLY WEEK IN BEAUTIFUL MUSIC

Dear friends. Music is truly a wonderful gift that enriches all our lives. Below you will find two pieces of beautiful liturgical music that capture two sacred moments of our Holy Week liturgy. The first is 'Remember Me' by Deborah Governor- a beautiful hymn about the institution of the Eucharist by Jesus at the Last Supper on the night before he died. The second is the haunting 'Miserere Mei' by Allegri - performed each year at the end of the Stations of the Cross here in Bride St Church in the parish of Wexford and performed in the video below by the choir of King's College, Cambridge. Enjoy.
