THE ISOLATION AND LONELINESS OF WOMEN - NEW RESEARCH FROM THE UK

A new study in the UK has just been published in The New Statesman that reveals a widening gap between men and women in their politics but also trends that are driving young women into increasing loneliness. The figures of such affected people are lower among those who have a faith that gives them meaning, hope and that draws them in to community where they have a greater chance of finding companionship and romance among those of similar value systems.
The suffering of greater loneliness is also linked to the decline in the culture of marriage and severing the link between sexuality and family.
