THIS WEEK'S INTERVIEW WITH SR IMELDA WICKHAM ON HER MINISTRY WITH PRISONERS


Sr Imelda Wickham is a Presentation Sister originally from the parish of Bree in Co. Wexford who taught for many years in the Presentation School in Enniscorthy. Since then she has been involved in ministry to prisoners in Dublin for over 20 years. She has held the role of National Co-ordinator of Prison Chaplains for three years. For this 'Prisoner's Sunday', we caught up with Sr Imelda who describes her work with people who have been convicted of crimes as she argues for real change that is needed that impacts on peoples' lives. She also spells out her case and point in her book 'Unheard of Voices: Reflections of a Prison Chaplain' published by Messenger Publications, Dublin (See below).
