Word on Fire with author Christopher Beha

In his book ’Why I am not an Atheist’, former editor of Harper's Magazine, Christopher Beha wrestles with the most existential of questions, issuing an earnest appeal for readers to arrive at answers of their own.
25 years ago, Christopher Baha gave up on God, helped along by a reading of Bertrand Russell's classic text ‘Why I am not a Christian’.  ‘Why I am not an Atheist’ is the story of his research for secular answers to what Immanuel Kant called ‘the most urgent human questions’: ‘what can I know?’; ‘what must I do?’; ‘what may I hope for?’ ‘Why I am not an Atheist’ is not a polemic on behalf of belief but a record of Beha’s long engagement with the enduring human questions and a call for readers to answer these questions for themselves.
In the podcast below, Word on Fire’s Tod Worner speaks to Christopher Beha about how his questioning and honesty brought him home to God.
